Jorney to India

I have decided to start this blog as a record of my journey to India and also to serve as a platform for spiritual musings and the spiraling nature of life.

From a young age I have felt that all things are circular and cyclical in nature. As I have grown I have realised that the circles are more like spirals - the loop never ends at the point where it began although things may feel familiar as the similar lessons come up for re-evaluation and one always grows or shrinks on the path. When  lessons are learned all things change and the spiral shifts to a new set of growth and learning.

My departure, with my partner Mike is in less than 48 hours and I feel an admixture of excitement, nerves and childish glee. Mike will only be with me for the first two weeks in Rajasthan where we will be attending his friend's wedding.(In a palace!!)  This part of the trip will hopefully have a holiday type feel to it as we are planning a fairly standard tourist route around the so called 'Golden Triangle' which encompasses Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan. We're also going to try to squeeze in a trip to Ranthambhore National Park to see if we can see some Tigers in their natural environment, an ambition that we both share.

After Mike leaves to return home I will be alone for about 5 weeks to spend time reconnecting with Spirit. My first port of call with be Varanasi, one of the holiest and oldest cities in the world. And this is as far as I have planned my Journey. I hope to take a step back and truly let myself slip into the flow to see where Life will take me. I have no attachment about what I will do or where I will be. I do hope to spend some time in an ashram but I am open to anything.

I hope that you enjoy embarking on this journey with me.

Namaste,  Sophia x
